"EIP-1559 sucks. After it was implemented gas prices skyrocketed!" This take is propagated a lot and I think this is far from true. Correlation is not causation. I suppose gas prices would be much higher now if we didn't have EIP-1559. How does EIP-1559 save you $ETH? 🧵👇

I remember in 2017 when people who had been in crypto for a couple of years announcing they had made it and were cashing out. Saying their goodbyes and GLs as they went. You just dont see that now. People these days mostly take profits back to smart contracts than to banks.

🔥 Summer Updates 🔥

ICYMI, we published updates on our team expansion and new milestones: read Summer Updates here! Otherwise, below is the TLDR.

We’ve onboarded new team members:

  • Samuel Dare, CTO

  • Alexander Butler, Product Owner

  • Coco Ong, Marketing Lead

  • 2 new developers

We’re still hiring another developer - please refer to the last section (For the Community) for application instructions.

During the summer, we completed these milestones:

  • We moved all contracts to multisig

  • We concluded the ADEL Swap

  • The exploit drop page is live (Note: the $AKRO drop only covers 50% of the exploit).

We’re excited about these new milestones added to our roadmap:

  • Addition of new yearn vaults + our own strategies

  • Transition into full DAO

  • More development on strategies

  • Release of products such as Uniswap v3 position & risk management vaults

  • Deployment across multiple chains such as Polygon

For more details on all of the above, read the full update here.

Here’s what we’re also working on:

  • Looking through your survey responses (it’s still open for your feedback)

  • More token-related marketing campaigns (like you’ve asked for! 😋)

  • We are actively working on the Yearn affiliate program & delegated deposits.

  • [in progress] We continue to work on new vault strategies in-house and hope to bring in new strategy makers. 🤑

    • We’re continuing to research & work on strategies on Polygon.

    • We are working with existing Yearn community members in the YFI Boarding school! 🎓

    • Again, if you are an interested developer please reach out to us in our discord or telegram channels!

  • [in testing] Rewards claiming coming live next week! You will be able to claim unlocked rewards once per two weeks - no thresholds, no manual distributions.
