Intro
Welcome everyone to another round of Akropolis weekly!

Product 🛠

• ICYMI, our CEO Ana Andrianova was recently a panelist for the “DeFi - Beyond Arbitrage and Trading” discussion at the CogX Festival 2021. You can see our tweet about it here!

• We are also proud to be supporting ETHGlobal and #Hackmoney2021! Congratulations to all of those who applied and are participating - it is an amazing event! 💪

• The voluntary swap from $ADEL to vAKRO is now closed! Thanks to all that participated and are taking this journey with us! 🙌

• We have prepared the frontend for connecting to vaults from other networks such as BSC or Polygon! This frontend is still in pre-production, but will be added to the dApp UI soon! 🔥

• We updated the UI when checking whether a user’s wallet is connected to a network. 🏃

  1. Users can now connect to any network and view the UI without restrictions. 

  2. Users will now simply be prompted to connect their wallet to the desired network immediately prior to  sending a transaction.

  3. For example, if a user connects to the ETH Mainnet and wants to deposit to the BSC Vault, then we will ask him/her to reconnect to the BSC network immediately prior to sending a transaction.

• We are actively working on the Yearn affiliate token & our hack compensation plan, more details TBA this month 🙂

Governance 🗳

• The community proposal AIP-011 regarding AKRO tokenomics is still on the governance discussion board! 🆕

  • Please give it a read and offer your comments!

Things still in the works:

• [in progress] We continue researching indices for integration into the dashboard. If you have any suggestions, please drop them in our discord or telegram channels!

• [in progress] We continue to work on new vault strategies in house and hope to bring in new strategy makers. 🤑

• We are working with existing Yearn community members in the YFI Boarding school! 🎓

• Again, if you are an interested developer please reach out to us in our discord or telegram channels!!

• [in progress] We are working on moving away from rewards distributions to users claiming them instead, thus removing the distribution threshold. You will be able to claim unlocked rewards once per two weeks.

• VP Business Development - this role includes:

  • Developing growth strategies and plans to increase user base & TVL;

  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing partners;

  • Searching for new partnership/integration opportunities & proactively leading them;

  • Having an in-depth knowledge of DeFi products and value proposition;

  • Writing business proposals;

  • Negotiations with stakeholders/partners ;

  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs;

  • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams;

  • Following industry trends & new product development opportunities;

  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements;

• Solidity Developers - this role includes:

  • Identifying & implementing complex yield-generation strategies on different chains;

  • Work with development team, product owner, and designers to turn vision into a functional software while following deadlines;

  • Develop high-quality code by following best practices in the space & make it maintainable, performant, accessible and precise;

  • Perform internal code reviews & audits ;

  • Being proactive & contribute to the team engineering processes and workflow;

  • Collaborate with relevant DeFi projects to discover optimal solutions for our needs;

  • Keep yourself updated with DeFi ecosystem updates & contribute ideas relevant to the product.

• DeFi Research Analyst - this role includes:

  • Research into different protocols we could use for new strategies implementation;

  • Analysis on different research proposals and solutions;

  • Creating technical & product explainers on different protocols;

  • Suggesting new features & improvements to the base platform;

  • Working with engineering team to architect, spec and code strategies;

  • Engage with users on Discord etc. and help them with financial questions;

  • Understand and look deeply into lots of new DeFi products.
