Intro

Welcome everyone to another round of Akropolis weekly!

Product 🛠

• We released a new UI/UX update!

  1. We added an animation on the vesting landing page, check it out here!

  2. We added a reload button and error details to the error curtain 🔄

  3. We added icons for triCrypto and crvIB (Iron Bank) tokens 💰

  4. Yearn recently announced that they are closing V1 vaults, so we have disabled deposits and will be removing them from the interface shortly.

     • Not to worry though, we will be adding additional V2 vaults to the UI!

• Reminder that the exploit drop page is live! The page is visible only to wallets affected back in November - please go to this page to check.

  • The $AKRO drop only covers 50% of the exploit.

• We are actively working on the Yearn affiliate program & delegated deposits.

Things still in the works:

• [in progress] We continue to work on new vault strategies in house and hope to bring in new strategy makers. 🤑

• BTC strategy on BSC is in the final testing stages - more details to follow

• We’re continuing to research & work on strategies on Polygon.

• We are working with existing Yearn community members in the YFI Boarding school! 🎓

• [in progress] We are working on moving away from rewards distributions to users claiming them instead, thus removing the distribution threshold. You will be able to claim unlocked rewards once per two weeks.

• Project Manager - this role includes:

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives;

  • Coordinating all processes inside the company, develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan;

  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner;

  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress;

  • Management of in-house and outsource specialists to get best possible result in tight schedule;

  • Setting tasks in our project management tools and control the completion;

  • Overseeing communication & project management connected to external parties;

  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.

• VP Business Development - this role includes:

  • Developing growth strategies and plans to increase user base & TVL;

  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing partners;

  • Searching for new partnership/integration opportunities & proactively leading them;

  • Having an in-depth knowledge of DeFi products and value proposition;

  • Writing business proposals;

  • Negotiations with stakeholders/partners ;

  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs;

  • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams;

  • Following industry trends & new product development opportunities;

  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements;

• Solidity Developers - this role includes:

  • Identifying & implementing complex yield-generation strategies on different chains;

  • Work with development team, product owner, and designers to turn vision into a functional software while following deadlines;

  • Develop high-quality code by following best practices in the space & make it maintainable, performant, accessible and precise;

  • Perform internal code reviews & audits ;

  • Being proactive & contribute to the team engineering processes and workflow;

  • Collaborate with relevant DeFi projects to discover optimal solutions for our needs;

  • Keep yourself updated with DeFi ecosystem updates & contribute ideas relevant to the product.

• DeFi Research Analyst - this role includes:

  • Research into different protocols we could use for new strategies implementation;

  • Analysis on different research proposals and solutions;

  • Creating technical & product explainers on different protocols;

  • Suggesting new features & improvements to the base platform;

  • Working with engineering team to architect, spec and code strategies;

  • Engage with users on Discord etc. and help them with financial questions;

  • Understand and look deeply into lots of new DeFi products.
